Christmas Eve was a slumber party at Grandma’s. Ken chose Disney’s “The Good Dinosaur” for movie night. He claimed it was for Lil’s, but he didn’t look away from the screen all evening (just as I expected). We indulged in my homemade hot cocoa and cranberry-carrot cake for the occasion. I’ll put the recipes up in a few days..Yuuum.
It was a busy couple of days so I did an inverted braid and tousled low bun, fit for a cozy fam-jam. It later transformed into soft waves and a braided halo for dinner. Lately, I’ve been all about the braids! I just looove the character my balayage hair color brings to the intertwining sections of hair.
‘Tis the season of vibrant hues, so I tied everything together with bold pops of red: plush pillows to accent the décor, cranberries in the dessert, and my Revlon HD Gladiolus lipstick.
I can’t wait for Lil’s hair to grow in so we can start matching our do’s…For now, our outfits will have to do! We both rocked sweater dresses for the food-filled Christmas with Ken’s familia the next day (30lb turkey and all)!
I opted for a classic black and white sweater dress, a #WinnersFabFind, which also acted as a neutral backdrop for the bold bursts of color. It also tied in perfectly with the baby’s black and white star-studded booties.
My bold lips worked well with her adorable little red polka dot dress from Gymboree. She was gifted this number a few weeks after coming into this world and the munchkin grew into it perfectly – just in time for Christmas!
A holiday filled with just the right amount of rosy tones… Oh the coordinating we will do in the New Year!!
